Persia White, born in 1981, is an American model and actress. She was the first African-American model to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine in 2002. Her acting credits include “Logan’s Run” (1976), “The Beastmaster” (1982), and “Madame X” (1983).
She has been on a number of magazine covers, including Vogue Italia. In 2007, she created a swimwear line for Target called Ava Luxe that generated a lot of media attention.
White has been a spokesperson for Pfizer’s Viagra and has also appeared in an episode of the TV series “Numbers” and “The Mentalist”. In 2009, she was featured in the reality show “Shear Genius” and placed third.
In 2011, she appeared in an episode of the “Fashion House” reality show.
White was featured as one of David Hasselhoff’s Girls Next Door on October 30, 2009. White co-starred with Carol Alt and Bahar Soomekh in the short-lived series “Babes”.
On September 20, 2012, White released a cover version of Coldplay’s song Paradise on iTunes. She has also designed her own swimwear line.
In 2013, White appeared as the love interest of Lawrence (T.I.) in his music video for “Get Back Up”.
Persia White was raised in the Bronx, New York. Her mother was a model, and her father worked for a record company. She is the niece of soul singer Al Hudson. As a model, she has been signed by Trump Model Management, Stelle Bourne Modeling Agency, and Wilhelmina Models International. She is known for her work with photographer Steven Meisel.
She is married to musician David Ryan Harris.
Persia White is currently a spokesperson in a national campaign to raise breast cancer awareness called “Check It Out,” produced by Free the Girls.
White has two children, a girl, and a boy, with her ex-boyfriend and the father of her first son.
